This year, my resolution was to really focus on self-care and self-love. Part of that is being willing to explore new things and really focus on products that make me feel good. Trust me, it wasn't the easiest transition! I like to make sure everyone else feels good and loved through simple gestures, quality time, just-because gifts, etc., not typically concerned about what I'm doing for me. But about a month ago, I made a decision to spoil myself without going hog-wild on spending mass amounts of money.
I recently discovered a subscription box called FabFitFun. Its a box that is all about offering you products that really hone in on self-care and a little bit of a "treat yo self because you're worth it" vibe. Because who wouldn't love that?!
I was instantly interested. This isn't like other subscription boxes that I have looked at and turned away from. It doesn't send you samples of makeup that you'll fall in love with and use up in a matter of weeks, doesn't send you socks, or random things that will most likely sit and collect dust (after you spend a week fawning over it). Don't get me wrong, subscription boxes of any kind are exciting! But they don't always offer you products that are going to prove useful.
This box is totally different! It's like a care package that you would get from your friend that is one part socially conscious, one part incredibly active, one part perfect skin and hair, and all parts fabulous! I would like to say that I am that friend, but I can't feasibly send my best friends boxes that are worth over $200...I wish I could, but as of right now, my hubby would probably kill me! Also, I'm not nearly as fabulous as the ladies that put this box together! *I tip my hat to you ladies!*
As of right now, I have only received two boxes: an editor's box, and the Spring box. And I am OBSESSED!!! In my editor's box, I got a little bit of everything: products to help my muscles relax (and I have conveniently started working out...so, fate?), makeup products, jewelry, skin care products, AND the softest wrap I have ever had. The best part? Each of these products comes from socially conscious companies.
Companies like Real Her - a brand that has set out to inspire and empower women with their products by reminding them they are fearless and powerful. All of the products are natural, vegan and cruelty-free. AND, get this, 20% of the proceeds go to organizations that empower women! Before I received my first box with the best eye shadow pallet I've ever tried, I had never heard of this company. But I can tell you that from now on, I will be finding a way to get my hands on their products! And the same goes for each of the items I received from brands like Whish, Spongelle, African Botanics, and Way of Will!
Not only do I love the idea of self care, but I love knowing that the products I am using are natural and coming from companies that recognize their social responsibilities! Sidenote: I am currently getting all excited just talking about these products because of how passionate I am about these issues! #allthefeels!
I am over-the-moon excited that I signed up for FabFitFun! There's nothing better than feeling spoiled while ringing in each new season with a box filled to the brim with products that'll make your spring, summer, fall, and winter that much better. Since discovering FabFitFun and everything they stand for, I decided to become a FabFitFun partner in order to spread discount codes like confetti on New Years Eve!
